There are a lot of reasons that we love this product. First and foremost, like all Ultra Botanicals (let’s call them Ultra for short) products, it is completely additive-free. Ultra put a lot of nice little touches in this formula, most of which you wouldn’t even know about if you weren’t in the industry. It is formulated so that all the nutrients are in balance and work well with (and not against) each other. Ultra includes truly chelated minerals, in contrast to most manufactures simply taking a bunch of milk protein, throwing some minerals and enzymes in it, mixing it around and hoping that something bonded together. Manufacturers who do that are allowed to list the minerals with generic terms like, “Chelate”, “proteinate,” or, “amino acid chelate,” versus Ultra, who went to the extra trouble and expense to react their minerals with the amino acid Aspartic Acid, and lists it that way. Even further, aspartic acid is a great universal deliverer and has energy benefits as well . Most manufacturers use ascorbic acid for vitamin C because it is so cheap, but many people have trouble with the harshness of its acidity if taking large quantities, so Ultra uses the more expensive non-acidic form Calcium Ascorbate, which also protects against any potential calcium loss. Ultra’s vitamin E is the most stable (and most expensive) dry form, but vastly preferable if you want your product to still be bioactive when you take it.
We like that they do these things as a matter of course and don’t make a big deal about it.
