3+ hour clinics devoted to cleaning up the biomechanical errors in most people’s running form, giving them “free” speed and freedom from injuries.
 
Improper form is leading to two results in your running – slower times and increased likelihood of aches, pains, and injury. Over the past few years, a new understanding about running has come forward that there actually is a correct way to run, that it’s necessary to work with the laws of physics rather than against them. Unfortunately, that’s not the way most people run. In fact, people have such bad mechanics that shoe companies have created heavy, bulky, expensive shoes that allow them to continue to run in spite of their bad mechanics - for a while, at least. The price people pay is their bad form is slowing them down and contributing to eventual injury. 
 
The body is actually designed to run long distances without breaking down. Clean up the form and not only does your risk of injury go down, but if you are like most people you will also find yourself running faster without extra effort -  simply because you have stopped working against yourself. You even get to buy lighter, less expensive shoes! Unfortunately, it is extremely difficult to find someone who understands how to teach proper technique, and most who do attempt to teach technique do not do so properly.
 
Each Form & Technique Clinic is composed of a mix of running, exercises, drills, and some 'classroom' time.  You will get to see for yourself how much you improved from the session with before and after video of your running form. We know you will be surprised at how much progress you will have made over the course of the three hours.  
 
These clinics are offered approximately monthly in the Santa Monica, CA area, and if you attend three sessions (3) within a year, you will receive a free DVD chronicling your running form from each session. An invaluable learning tool!
 
Repeated clinics will help to further refine your technique and make the changes permanent, but one is sufficient to learn all the principles and make a huge difference!

Since instruction will include running and drills, as well as some class time, please wear weather-appropriate comfortable clothing. 
 
We limit these clinics to a relatively small number of participants, so RSVP is required.

This clinic was fun and I felt I really learned a lot and that my form really improved even after that one session.
Bill is a great mentor / teacher and really provides great feedback and advice and what you are doing right and what you are doing wrong (and how to fix it).
I was definitely a heel striker before the clinic, but when I pay attention now to what I should be doing, I am definitely strking mid-foot.

I RUN FASTER!!!
I did the Santa Clarita 1/2 marathon this past Sunday, 11/6
My "tag time" (i.e. chip time) - was 2 hours 28 seconds (average 9:12 pace).
Considering that is the longest I have run in about 3 years and the fact that I was running closer to an 11 minute pace, I would say that this clinic is probably the main reasons for that pace.
Anyways, I totally recommend this Clinic

I have been an amateur runner for several years, and lately have been reading alot about proper running form, pose method, chi method, barefoot running, etc.  I started to experiment on my own with these new ideas, but I felt I should consult a coach or someone to make sure I'm doing things generally the correct way.  In the clinic bill went over alot of technique and theory, and had me do several laps practicing what I was learning.  He also videotaped me before and after the clinic, which was very interesting.  I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone curious about improving their running technique, and it's a good value at $50.
