An Overview on Skincare
Make no mistake - the purity of the products you put on your skin is as important as the purity of the products you put in your mouth. You certainly would not want to consume any products that contain toxins or common allergens; similarly, you should avoid such ingredients in skincare.
Look at it this way: Your skin is the largest organ of your body - don’t put anything on it that you would be afraid to eat!
Here at Locked On Health, we have two kinds of skincare products. The first is a line of incredibly healthy, clean skincare sold in health food stores, called Elements, by Urban Botanics. If you read through the list of ingredients, you can’t help but be impressed with the quality of what you will find. They are full of botanical extracts, liposome-bound anti-oxidants, essential oils, and natural ingredients. Liposome-binding, for example,is a very expensive technology lesser lines can’t afford, but is one of the key reasons Elements sits above the rest of the market.
Sometimes, it seems that even more significant can be the ingredients that aren’t included. Elements’ products are alcohol-free, propylene glycol-free, paraben-free. There are no petroleum products here, or mineral oil. Even the cleansers are exceptional - free of all sulfates, containing NO sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, ammonium lauryl sulfate, or ammonium laureth sulfate.
Simply put, Elements is the best-priced high-end line in the country. Yes, read that again if you must – it’s the BEST PRICED high end line.
The second skin care line is a professional line designed for aestheticians, salons, and spas. The cutting edge ingredients in these products are somewhat fragile and as such, require using some of the stabilizers commonly found in other skincare that we would prefer to avoid if at all possible, but in this case is not possible yet. The line is called Emerald Aesthetics, and the company is working to find ways to avoid those stabilizers. Until then, or until we find other alternatives, we think the trade-off will be well worth it for those who want the results these products promise. We anticipate this problem being solved sometime in the not-too-distant future, and offer these products at this time because they are the best that are currently available.
